Japan is an island country in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies off the eastern coast of the Asian continent and stretches from the Sea of Okhotsk in the North to the East China Sea and the Philippine Sea in the south. It is a highly developed country with amazing technological advancement and innovation the world has yet to experience. They have efficient but odd vending machines that sell everything from rice, vegetable, umbrella, electricity for your phone, health items as well as fortune-telling. And their toilets that never cease to amaze any first-time travellers. They even have robot operated cafes and robot restaurants.
When you say Japan, a couple of words pop into mind such as anime, cherry blossom or Sakura, Mt. Fuji, and Tokyo. Now Tokyo is a metropolis, and is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, which means a good governor runs it. It has served as the Japanese capital since 1869. Today, Tokyo offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, culture, entertainment and dining to its visitors. The city’s history can be appreciated in districts such as Asakusa. Tokyo has many excellent museums to explore, historic temples and beautiful gardens. And contrary to common perceptions, Tokyo actually offers a number of comfortable gardens in the city centre, and within relatively short train rides at its outskirts which makes it even more the fun for tourists.
